Charitable Hearts

The lovely couple even had a charity called ‘Bud’s Bicycles.’ Bud would find old or used bicycles and refurbish them. Then once they were usable again, they would distribute them to the less fortunate. He would usually hand them out to “storm-damaged Alabama towns and impoverished pockets of West Virginia to their hometown in suburban Atlanta.” He would also give them to underprivileged children during Christmas time when he could.

Loving Parents And Grandparents

Bud and June also had a loving family, 3 children, as well as beautiful grandchildren. They were retirees, joyous to live out the rest of their days in the company of their family and friends. The only other dream they had was to once again own a 1966 Ford Mustang, which Bud used to own after he got home from the war.
