After her trial, the jury found the then 50-year old Sarah Mitchell, guilty of killing her sister in June of 1997. The police had even shared that they believed that Sarah had managed to pretend to be Stevie for 2 years before killing her. They also said that they had found out that the last time anyone could truly confirm that the real Stevie was alive was in April of 1997, when she was in Lake Tahoe, looking for a new place to move.
