When Oakland Firefighters responded to an alarm coming from the area of the Allman home on July 1, 1997, they weren’t sure exactly what they were going to find on their arrival. Stevie had run out of the house with her dress on fire, which a neighbor had quickly doused with water. That same neighbor reportedly called 911 and waited for the authorities to arrive.

Getting Treated For Burns

Upon Stevie’s arrival at the hospital, it was reported that she had first and second-degree burns over 15% of her body. While being treated, she supposedly told police that she believed that it was the drug dealers that she so actively fought against whom were responsible. She said, “I have no doubt they intended to murder me. Their warped minds thought the act would clear the way to do their dirty dealing.”
