Putting In The Porch

Richard is a self-proclaimed environmentalist, not only wanting to bring the cabin back to life using the most reused, ecological and sustainable materials as possible, but he wanted to feel like he was truly invested in the great outdoors. And like the best of wooden cabins and natural houses, it required a beautiful, sprawling front porch where Richard and his family could sit down and enjoy nature’s beauty.

Getting His Kids To Help

During the expanse of the house, the kids of Richard were more than happy to help out. After all, it would take an entire decade to get it into a complete and workable space. Although he had no choice but to adopt some materials that weren’t reused, knowing that most of it was repurposed made him feel that much better. He eventually had to add some chicken wire to fill up the gaps between the wood to keep it warm and cozy inside.
