Slowly Coming Together
Although quite remote, Richard had some Amish neighbors nearby. They even helped with the project and helped the family bring their dreams to fruition. One of the best parts of the renovations was the table that they made from a collapsed tree. The cabin was finally beginning to look more and more livable.
A Fallen Tree Made Into A Table
There was a fallen walnut tree in the area, along with some of the native white oak wood, which Richard and his neighbors also helped to bring to life together in the form of a dining table. Plus it was made in such a way that the table was easily movable, allowing them to bring it around the cabin in any which way they pleased. But it was truly built to be where they would share their meals together as a family.
