The Acid King

Ricky was soon given the name ‘The Acid King’ for his penchant for the highly hallucinogenic drug, LSD. Although it was shared that many times he actually believed that what he was taking was mescaline in the form of purple dots, it was probably really acid that he was consuming. Not only did he take it in crazy doses, while he was known to usually take all of his stash himself, he would also sell it to other kids in his town in order to earn a buck or two.

Getting Him Help

Ricky’s parents hurt knowing that their son was so troubled. In fact, while Ricky was in the hospital due to pneumonia, his parents still made sure that he received the medical care he needed. They even attempted to have him committed to the psychiatric ward, in the hopes that he could be rehabilitated from his drug abuse. But sadly, the doctor’s claimed that he wasn’t psychotic, nor was he dangerous, but that his issue was plainly ‘antisocial behavior.’
