Finding Gary

When Ricky found Gary, it was said that he had beat him ‘within an inch of his life.’ Gary soon realized that Ricky meant business and was able to give back 5 of the 10 stolen bags. He also promised that he would pay what was due for the other 5 bags when he could finally scrounge up the money.

Becoming His Constant Victim

From the time that Ricky had first beat Gary up, he would go on to do it another 3 times. Yet, despite continuously getting hit into a bloody pulp, Gary would choose to hang out with Ricky and his friends, probably because he was such a junkie and knew that Ricky had what he needed. And whether he looked up to Ricky because he was the infamous town acid king, or he was just hoping to get another hit wasn’t exactly known, Gary would take the beatings. That was until one horrible night in July of 1984 when everything changed.
