15. Neck or Throat Pain
Heart attack pain in women is often observed to be referred pain, occurring elsewhere in the body other than the immediate area where the problem is found. For example, women who have suffered from a heart attack often feel a dull pain in their arm before the event. They also claim to have abdominal pain and have symptoms that mimic that of a digestive tract problem.
In the same manner, women have reported feeling pressure on their throat and neck before the occurrence of a heart attack. They describe the pain as creeping, starting from the chest area, making its way up to their neck and throat.
