Heart disease can cause people to have problems in getting rest at night. Women have reported experiencing different signs during their sleep that originate from having underlying heart conditions. Patients find themselves out of breath, mainly due to what doctors central sleep apnea, a breathing problem in the part of the brain that controls respiration, caused by heart failure.
If you find yourself roused from sleep by as rapid, thumping sensation in your chest, or feel tired in the morning despite getting “enough” rest, have yourself checked. You might unknowingly be suffering from heart disease or a heart attack.
