After it was discovered through the investigation that certain rules and regulations had not been followed before the doomed Air Florida Flight 90 took off, aviation seemingly began to take more necessary precautions, especially with regards to the crew. These days, a flight cannot take off if one pilot is not at least much more experienced than the other, aside from other major regulations.

The ‘Sixth Passenger’

Although the ‘Sixth Passenger,’ as Williams was often referred to after his death, had lost his life so horribly that day, his life has been honored in so many ways since his passing. Somehow, part of the beauty of his life was not so much that he would become a hero to so many, but more so, because he did it so selflessly. And in the hearts and minds of many, that makes him even more noble, if that’s even possible.
