Rising To The Surface

Amazingly, 6 people would actually appear from below the glacial waters. 6 people had managed to remain alive and swim furiously to the top of the water, in spite of their immense injuries. It would seem that they were surviving on pure adrenalin as they were said to have ‘fractured arms and shattered legs,’ and this was all despite being plunged in freezing water.

The Six Survivors

The six survivors happened to be five passengers and one flight attendant. Destitute, they would scream for help saying, “Help us! We’re going to die out here!” But rescue would prove to be incredibly difficult as the river was full of ice, making it impossible for a rescue boat to get to them. The next best thing was a helicopter, but the time that the victims were left in the water was critical as it could mean that they would either drown or freeze to death.
