Someone Attempted To Rescue Them

It would seem almost mean as bystanders could only look on helplessly as they looked upon the six people floating in the water. Rescue didn’t seem to be coming at the time, as the Coast Guard happened to be stuck elsewhere, helping with another tragedy on the river. But a man named Roger Olian decided to jump in the water, trying to reach the victims. Unfortunately the water was too cold, too glacial and too strong for him to reach them, thwarting any of his attempts.

It Had Been Over 20 Minutes

Twenty minutes had passed and yet onlookers were helpless to lend a hand to the survivors. They gazed at the floating survivors, helpless, praying that somehow they would get out before the ice, wind and snow would force them to end up with the same fate as those who had sadly lost their lives in such a tragic event. They had to wonder if there would be any form of rescue that would come to help them.
