Attempting To Kill Shawn
Meanwhile, in Devlin’s home, it had been a month since he had taken and began torturing Shawn, and he finally decided he was going to kill the boy. He drove him down to a remote area in Washington County to do the deed. But as Devlin began choking Shawn, the frightened young boy begged for his life, telling Devlin that he would do whatever the man wanted as long as he didn’t kill him. Devlin decided to keep him, choosing also to assault him right there and then, maybe to show who was boss. And so began Shawn’s descent into what some would consider as basic ‘Stockholm Syndrome’ almost. He was at his captor’s mercy, and he was too afraid to do anything but listen.
