Getting Diabetes
In 2002, Devlin would get type II diabetes. It was so serious that he ended up having to amputate two of his toes because of it, and this would cause Devlin to become even more withdrawn. But in spite of his sugar issues, it was said that he chugged down mountain dew at a rampant pace. Imo’s owner, Mike Prosperi, who considered Devlin a friend, said, “He drank Mountain Dew like it was water. He had the tap, so could take it straight from the [soda] fountain. It’s not like he was in a corner holed up or anything. He seemed normal, just like the rest of the guys.”
