Police Are Everywhere
The spokesperson for the Tampa Police Department, Stephen Hegarty, says that the authorities are more vigilant and making sure to watch over the streets. He says, “The fact is you can’t drive a block without seeing some sort of police presence, officers on foot. We are a 24/7 presence. People are feeling on edge, some businesses are not being visited as frequently as they would like.”
