The Last Breath

As Matt was helping Liz sit, she felt lightheaded and collapsed soon after that. The nurses assumed that this was a result of exhaustion, but he feared that there was something more. His instincts proved to be correct. A deadly blood clot had gone up to her lungs and died from fatal pulmonary embolism. At just 30 years old, the young mother passed away and never got the chance to hold her baby. As for Matt, he was reeling from the tragedy. The best day had turned out to be the worst as well.

Falling Apart

Matt’s world had fallen apart and he had written on his blog how it all went down. He found himself to be a smitten father and a grief-stricken widower all at one time. He didn’t know what to do. He buried his wife and had to rush to the hospital at the same time to care for his infant. He was lost. More importantly, he never expected to be on the journey to parenthood all by himself.
