Being Awarded

In 2006, Don would be given the Medal of the Order of Australia to recognize everything that Don had been doing to help out his fellow citizens. Then along with his wife Moya, they would end up finding themselves recipients of 2010’s Citizens of the Year. One of the messages reads, “an angel that walks amongst us,” and an incredible number of people think of him as such.

Broadened Horizons

Don would also share, “I’m 85 and even at my age it has broadened my horizons with all the wonderful people I have met. I’ve had welcome feedback from people who have come back from the edge. It’s really rewarding knowing that the action I took changed the course of their lives and got them back on track…”
