Remembering One Who Was Lost
Don recalls a time when, “I was talking to him for about half an hour thinking I was making headway. I said ‘why don’t you come over for a cup of tea, or a beer, if you’d like one?’ He said ‘no’ and stepped straight off the side his hat blew up and I caught it in my hand.” Sometimes, they truly wanted to go.
People From All Different Backgrounds
Don shared how he would meet people from all different backgrounds with varying issues. Some of them he said were ‘fighting medical problems,’ while there were ‘others suffering [from] mental illness.’ Sadly, many of them left remnants of their past lives as they made their way to their deaths, a few mementos of themselves to be remembered by.
