He’d Ask Them Over For Tea

For those whom actually responded to Don’s simple question, he would also go on to ask if they want to have a cup of tea and have a chat in his house. Miraculously, quite a few of them would actually step down and go home with Don. In the end, they just wanted to know someone cared.

Offering An Alternative

Don shared, “I’m offering them an alternative, really. I always act in a friendly manner. I smile.” And while he would offer them comfort, an ear to listen and a warm beverage, he would never ‘counsel’ them, or tell them things because he believed he was right.
