What was even more abominable was that Ortega had supposedly waited for Marina to arrive so she could see Marina’s reaction at seeing her dead children, before she would take a knife to her own throat. She had slashed her wrists, and then slashed her throat in order to kill herself as well. And Marina began to scream bloody murder, a cry that many of her neighbors would hear.
