Saying Goodbye
When Kevin reached the hospital, it was almost an incomprehensible situation. Not only did his wife need to be sedated due to shock, he had to go see the bodies of his mutilated children, and worse yet, bid them goodbye forever. He said of the experience, “I got down on my knees and I said ‘I’m sorry.’ I said ‘I love you’ and I kissed them, and I said goodbye.”
