He Had A Solid Alibi

Hatchett’s aunt happened to live in the same apartment building as the victim, and he would often visit his aunt on a daily basis. When questioned by police, Hatchett seemed to have a solid alibi since he was in a cast and using crutches after being shot in both the throat and leg a few weeks before then. But one of the eyewitnesses who claimed that he saw Hatchett, also had an earlier burglary arrest, and had named Hatchett as the attacker in order to make a plea deal for himself.
