Finally Freed
Once again, The Innocence Project would help another falsely accused man and prove his guiltlessness when DNA tests from semen that had been kept from the case showed that it did not match that of Keith Harward. Finally exonerated, Harward’s wrongful circumstances were said to be the 25th false conviction with ‘bite marks’ as the basis for proclaiming someone’s guilt. Since his release, Harward shares, “I’ve got to start my life over again,” and amazingly, he has the Innocence Project to thank for that. These are just a few of the faces of innocent people who have lost many years of their lives to an unjust justice system and hopefully, others who find themselves in the same situations as these wrongfully accused people may one day, walk free as well.
