Maksym Igor Popov had a dream. Like most Russian hackers, all he wanted to do was earn money. He had a useful talent that the big conglomerations can certainly exploit. What can he do? How can he achieve his dream? So, he made the decision that he thought would change his life for the better. He was willing to leave his life in Ukraine for a better one in the land of milk and honey.
Things, however, didn’t go quite as planned.
The baby-faced criminal
Looking at Popov, you wouldn’t think that this criminal was one of the world’s best cyber hacker. He was a pudgy man who looked like a boy next door. One would think that he was simply a foreign exchange student applying for a student visa. Little did the people around realize that he was actually part of an Eastern European gang that had looted large US companies for large sums of cash.
