Popov became quite infamous for his abilities. Local gangsters elbowed him for a share of what he earned. He then thought that extortion might be the very key to his success. So, he gathered a crew of cyber savants, worked to crack a company’s code, and then stole data. He then would approach these companies in a guise as a security consultant. In exchange for his expert advice of course, would be a large sum of money.

Going big

Makysm was quite adept at fooling many of these establishments. He was able to crack big names in the industry such as the now defunct E-Money and the even more popular Western Union. Unfortunately, he eventually got played when these companies turned their backs on him and reported his activities to the FBI.
