When she arrived in the United States, Anna made it to New York, one city that’s known to be the most difficult to dig your heels in and manage to stay, what more become successful in. But that’s exactly what she would do. She started up a real estate company that would soon have her employ over 50 people. And that wasn’t all.

Although Anna and Alex had long since broken up, they still kept in touch, and Anna would also keep his last name, never going back to her Russian born name. Alex even shared, “Then in 2009 she sent me an email saying she was meeting all these big city types and in the space of what seemed a few weeks, she was employing 50 people and the business was flourishing. Clearly a lot of money had been pumped into the business fro somewhere, but I couldn’t work it out.” Whether it was from the ‘rich guy,’ a New York restaurateur she began dating, or the fact that she had been training and now had taken a spot in the United States as a Russian spy, it would seem that Alex would never know for sure.
