It’s been 15 years after the murder. It was 1988. It had been too long, but luckily, another type of blood testing was already available. This was called the DQ Alpha testing. This revealed that while the blood type was clearly an O, the DQ Alpha on the one collected was of the 1.2,3 variety. What did this mean? Well, they were able to narrow down their choices because only roughly 5% of the population had this blood variety.

The cops back then looked at the fingerprints collected from the murder scene. One print was collected from the tissue box and two from the car’s interior. Over 70,000 fingerprints were collected but there was no match. So with the new development in technology now at their disposal, they looked at the murder from this angle once more.
