He had a blood type O, was Hispanic, and more importantly, his fingerprints had been found inside the car. The cold case that had been unsolved for 29 years was finally over. Edward Grant was tried for murder and found guilty in May of 2002. With the help of forensic technology, the cops finally had the man behind Penney’s death. Her family was vindicated because all evidence pointed to this one man who was behind it all. Grant may not have remembered Penney, but her family will always know him as someone who took their love away from them.
