7. Dizziness or Lightheadedness
Patients suffering from food poisoning can also feel lightheaded as a result of the fluid loss brought about by their continuous bouts of vomiting and diarrhea. This is because dehydration precipitates a drop in electrolyte levels and blood volume, making the delivery of oxygen to the brain lacking, in turn causing lightheadedness.
Aside from this, an infected person may also experience dizziness within 12-48 hours after eating as a response to the toxic food he or she has ingested.
