Ironically, the very first bottle of Coca-Cola, which was created in 1886, actually had a bit of cocaine mixed into it, since it was legal in those days. It was meant to be a pick-me-upper, being called a ‘brain tonic,’ with the first advertisement saying “Cures Morphine and Opium Habits and Desire for Intoxicants.” Little did people know, they were just making you addicted to something new, and making a lot of money off of you at the same time.
