15. George Foreman Earnings Go Up To $253 Million
Author, entrepreneur, former professional boxer, world heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medalist, Foreman became an ordained Christian minister following what he referred to as a religious epiphany after almost dying on the fight. He said a “giant hand” plucked him back into consciousness and he felt as if he were filled with the presence of a dying Christ, feeling his forehead bleed and his wrists as if pierced by the nails of Jesus’s cross. Foreman began preaching on street corners and soon after he became reverend at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Houston. He opened a youth center, shared his conversion experience on Christian television broadcasts and has continued to license his name for more income. Currently, Foreman lives on a 45-acre Lake Houston estate, collects luxurious cars and thoroughbred horses, preaching three weekly sermons and charging millionaire honoraria for speaking engagements across the US while at the same time managing his meat business.
