23. Eckhart Tolle  Earnings Go Up To $15 Million

Eckhart Tolle was listed by Watkins Review as the most spiritually influential person in the world. A german-born resident of Canada went from being homeless to self-made multimillionaire he has authored two New York Times bestsellers, A New Earth and The Power of Now. At age 29 Tolle experienced an “inner transformation” after spending most of his life depressed and decided to leave his career and belongings behind until becoming a writer and spiritual teacher. Tolle is also a speaker and leads retreats, seminars, and workshops in English and occasionally in German or Spanish. He created a company called Eckhart Teachings and in 2009, he launched the web-based video channel, Eckhart Tolle TV. According to Telegraph Magazine Tolle has indicated that he had no intention of setting up an ashram or center and that he believes “one needs to be careful that the organization doesn’t become self-serving”. Tolle declared on his website that “at the core of Tolle’s teachings lies the transformation of consciousness, a spiritual awakening that he sees as the next step in human evolution…not only for personal happiness but also for the ending of violent conflict endemic on our planet”.
