At first, Lyle and Erik were publicly scorned. They were boys who were only after their dad’s money. They were portrayed as ruthless and selfish men who weren’t grateful for their dad’s hard work. They just wanted his money and they wanted it fast. Hence, they killed him in order to get rich quickly. Of course, that has changed.

Speaking Out

Many have paid close attention to the Menendez trial, but these were soon forgotten in the years that followed. From time to time, however, people do get to see snippets of their interview from behind bars. And they’ve started to realize the horrors Lyle and Erik had to endure as they were growing up.
