Starting a Family

By 1963, Jose and Kitty got married and moved to New York where Jose got a degree in accounting from Queens College. And by 1968, they had a son whom they named Joseph Lyle and who also went by his middle name. By this time, Kitty was a teacher, but as soon as Lyle was born, she decided to quit her job and concentrate on their family.

The Family Grows

The Menendez family then moved to New Jersey. This was when Kitty gave birth to her second boy, Erik, on November 27, 1970. And as the two siblings grew up, they enjoyed a comfortable lifestyle. They attended The Princeton Day School then and had a normal childhood. This was also when Jose’s career started taking off.
