It was in these one-on-one interviews that people started to see Lyle and Erik’s side. They finally opened up and talked about the sexual abuse they experienced with their own father. Their statements were proof that money certainly can’t buy happiness. And while they do regret killing their parents and wished that it would have never happened, there was nothing to do for them but to move on.

Move on is exactly what the brothers did. Lyle and Erik are making the most of their time in prison by doing volunteer work. And after 30 years of living apart, the Corrections Department of California have finally allowed the brothers to serve the rest of their lives in the same prison facility. While there is very little news about the reunion, their lawyers are glad that they finally have each other. They may have their wives, but knowing that family is around will also be better for their souls and for their wellbeing.
