Bruno Ganz As Adolf Hitler – Downfall (2004)
Swiss actor Bruno Ganz was recently praised for his uncanny portrayal of German dictator Adolf Hitler. He is known for his penchant for playing problematic roles, yet he gave each one his all to the adoration of fans and critics. Playing Adolf Hitler was no exception. And because he did it so well, he will probably be remembered as “the one who played Hitler.” Even the great German historian Joachim Fest commented, “That really is Hitler,” upon seeing Ganz’s performance. He prepared at least three months for the role which, in the end, showered him with praises.
