The Border Collie has topped many lists as the world’s most intelligent dog in terms of trainability and obedience. Surveys of owners, show judges and experts from various kennel clubs have shown that the energetic breed, developed in Scotland for the purpose of herding sheep and other livestock, showed a high level of working intelligence, making it successful in both sheepdog trials and dog sports.
The Border Collies are great pets and are still used actively as work dogs in many livestock farms all over the world.
