Mechanics have the task of fixing cars, working on engines and changing brakes, amongst other things. But there are also a number of unsafe issues that they face. A loss of hearing from loud machinery, asbestos poisoning from car parts that are still made with the deadly substance and overall physical strain from working in difficult positions to get to the necessary areas of the car. Good thing most people that work this job find it incredibly rewarding.
