Many sanitation workers have no choice but to work at night, leaving them at the mercy of the dark. But while it isn’t just the late night hours that make the job harder than it is, it’s also what’s in the trash that can cause problems. When the trash gets compounded and crushed, sometimes the bags’ contents fly out, hitting the men with whatever has been stuffed inside them. And one can’t imagine just how appalling something like this can be unless they’ve ever been in a situation where a used needle was flying toward them at incredible speed.

Mining has got to be one of the most terrifying jobs there is. These guys have to have guts to climb deep into the earth’s belly, usually reliant on just a few diameters of space to go in and out of the area that they’re working on. And if that isn’t alarming enough, they also have to worry about flooding, chemical leaks, gas explosions, fires, even electrocution, and this doesn’t even cover the other health risks that go along with this risky job.
