The Hot Dog and Soda is a Big Deal
It is very interesting to note that Costco has kept the $1.50 price for a hot dog and a soda for a quarter of century. Apparently, there is no such thing as inflation in Costco’s food court. Likely so, it is their job to preserve the integrity of the price point to benefit its millions of members. Since it is all about volume, Costco sells more than 100 million combos of hot dogs and sodas a year.
