Figuring Out He Was Gay

When he was 14, he figured out that he was homosexual, and he even had a relationship with another boy at the time. At this time, Jeffrey would begin to give in to his morbid sexual fantasies. He had a wooden tool shed behind his house that became an area to keep his dissected road kill and other ‘preserved’ objects. And this is also where Jeffrey would begin his thoughts of ‘rape fantasy’ on a particular male jogger that he would often watch passing him while he sat on the side of the road. Although he had plans to attack this particular man and finally put his deluded concepts to practice, while waiting for him one day to initiate his plans, the jogger never came.

Graduating High School

After one final try to make their failing marriage to work, his parents decided to end it. After Jeffrey’s dad moved out of their house in 1978, Jeffrey and his younger brother, David, were left in the care of their mentally unstable mother. But Jeffrey also turned 18 that year, and was now considered an ‘adult,’ and while his brother was put under Joyce’s legal custody, Jeffrey was not. And since his dad had moved out, and his mother took David and moved in with family in Wisconsin, Jeffrey was left all alone in their Ohio home.
