Over a hundred people responded

Ralph, Tim, David, and Scott weren’t the only ones who responded to the ad- hundreds of people did. In Jack Beasley’s email response, he said that “If picked, I will need you to start quickly.” And when he picked the “right candidate,” he’d interview them and ask them to relocate. He’d get them to come along with him and his nephew on a ride to the property and bring them to a spot in that wooded, hilly part of town, pretending to have left something there. Then he’d shoot them in the back. He would then sell off the victims’ belongings and live off the proceeds of the sale.

The turning point

The survival of Scott Davis was a pivotal point for the investigation into the disappearances of Geiger, Kern, and Pauley. It turned out that the densely wooded area where Jack “got that dear at last time” with his nephew Brogan was where the bodies of those men were to be found. When Scott was brought there, a grave was already dug out for him right beside where one of the missing was buried.
