Starting over

David Pauley, 51, was struggling for the last couple of months, and the rough divorce he went through two years earlier wasn’t helping his desperate situation. Already in his 50’s, he thought about starting over, but at his age, things weren’t going to be easy. And with the economy tanking, his prospects were very limited.

Like most unemployed during the last financial crisis, David used his computer to look for a job.Then one night in October of 2011, he spotted the very same help wanted ad on Craigslist that Ralph Geiger answered just a few weeks ago. The timing of the ad couldn’t be better for David.
