8. Avoidant Personality Disorder (Cluster C Category)

Avoidant personality disorder, similar to all those belonging to the Cluster C Category, is characterized by anxious and fearful thinking and behavior. People who are diagnosed with Avoidant personality tend to be extremely sensitive to criticism and do not take rejection well. A deep feeling of inadequacy and inferiority makes them avoid activities that require them to be around people. They are socially withdrawn because they feel unattractive and they’re immense shyness makes developing relationships problematic for them. They are prone to inaction for fear of disapproval, and live in constant dread of embarrassing themselves or being ridiculed.
