Rotting Sharks Fins

On the roof of a ‘Shark Fin Hub’ in Hong Kong, what Gary found was a mind-boggling amount of shark fins left out under the sun to dry. And if that wasn’t bad enough, the fins were already rotting, making them useless for their intended purpose. All he could think was, all these sharks died in vain, and for what? All to supposedly be eaten by someone who won’t even get a single nutritional value from any of the fins they would even eat. It was heartbreaking.

European Union

Despite the European Union stepping in, along with 27 other countries that ban the horrific practice of illegal shark finning in the year 2013, it is still going on in many parts of the world. Much of the finning and killing of sharks happens throughout the Pacific and Indian Oceans, helping to continue to feed the illegal trade.
