What Happened With Maersk

Gary was perplexed still about how Maersk was involved. Maersk Company had banned the cargo shipping of sharks fin since 2010, so Gary and his crew were wondering why they had caught the container company with so many sharks fins in one of the shipments. After thoroughly investigating the case, they found out that the people who were still illegally poaching the fish had named the shipments as “seafood,” which wouldn’t cause alarm. Gary explained [Because] of that, it didn’t ring any alarm bells when they were checking in to ship.”

Who’s To Blame?

So when trying to figure out who was to blame with regards to this unbelievable seizure of thousands of shark fins, Gary said, “We see these responsible companies as victims of the ruthless shark-fin trade who will stop at nothing to continue their barbaric trade. We appreciate their willingness to close up these loopholes in an effort to save shark populations.” In the end, it’s the fishermen who are willing to risk killing these animals to make their money.
