Cutting Off Their Fins

A shark can only survive if it can continuously swim throughout its habitat. Cutting off its fin basically forces the shark to lose that ability and essentially makes it drown to death. Although some sharks are caught and brought upon boats before their fins are removed and left there to die, most of these poor fish are thrown back into the water, left completely without the ability to survive.

Suffocating To Death

Once these sharks are put back in the seas, they can no longer swim and therefore they cannot pump water through their gills. This causes them to actually suffocate and die. And it’s not like it’s a quick death either, it’s a slow and painful one for sure. It really is animal cruelty at its finest.
