Yorkshire Woman Of Achievement Courage Award
As deserved, Charlotte would end up winning the Yorkshire Woman Of Achievement Courage Award after being nominated by those that she worked with. Throughout her journey, she had shown incredible strength, perseverance and bravery in the face of death. She said in her speech to inspire others in whatever they were dealing with, “Do your best no matter what obstacles get in your way.”
Still Getting Checked
Although Charlotte has been given the clear from her cancer, she still goes to the hospital to get checked every two months. And this is something that she’ll have to do for the entire 5 years that those diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma are usually given to live. Charlotte said, “It doesn’t get easier. In one sense it’s like judgment day every two months, but I accept as part of my routine now.”
