Typhoon Agnes was another Category-5 super typhoon that formed southeast of Japan on August 27, 1968. It travelled west-northwest gaining in strength and dramatically changed its direction travelling east-north east, missing Japan and Korea before gradually dissipating on September 10, 1968.
