Mele’s “Autobiography”
He even wrote an “autobiography” while incarcerated, explaining that he had been exposed to pornography at a young age. He said, “That’s where my sexual switch went from off to on in a matter of seconds.” Then as a young and overweight 14-year-old, he lost his virginity to a 17-year-old girl. From then on, his sexual appetite continued to grow, and into extreme proportions. He eventually bought a camera and started taking photos of women without their knowledge.
Public Obscenity
Mele then explains how he ‘he eventually went from masturbating in cars as girls walked by “to getting out of the car and masturbate[ing] in front of her.” He says further, “I think my sexuality built up a tolerance, and I had to take the next step for the same high. Almost like drinking a few beers and getting buzzed to having to drink five or six to get buzzed.” He even said that he broke up with his 2 previous girlfriends because he felt “restricted on what I could do.” Eventually, this behavior is what led to his sex offender convictions, and eventually to the murder of Laura Garza.
